Governing Body

The governing body is responsible for promoting high standards of educational achievement at the school.

It is the school’s accountable body and also provides strategic direction to the school by establishing a vision and setting the purpose and aims of the school within an agreed policy framework. It monitors and evaluates the work of the school and the effectiveness of the school improvement plan. The governing body has an additional role of a ‘critical friend’ who supports and challenges the senior leadership team.
