I just wanted to thank all of you for your support of the school and our community.  I realise that it is an extraordinarily difficult time and that the situation changes so quickly that it is hard to keep up.  On a local level we are working hard to set up our provision for key workers and vulnerable children but need to plan how we will staff and deliver this.  If you or your children are on the government list and you have no choice but to send them to school please let us know in advance so that we can make adequate preparations for the week ahead.  More information on how to do this is included in this item.

Schools have been asked to continue to provide care for a limited number of children – children who are vulnerable and children whose parents are critical to the Covid-19 response and cannot be safely cared for at home.

Key Worker and Vulnerable Children Childcare
Parents whose work is critical to the COVID-19 response include those who work in health and social
care and in other key sectors outlined in the link below. Many parents working in these sectors may be
able to ensure their child is kept at home. The government recommends that every child who can be
safely cared for at home should be.

However, if it is not possible to keep your child/ren at home, they will be prioritised for education
provision.

Please click on the link below for information regarding who is a key worker.

provision/guidance-for-schools-colleges-and-local-authorities-on-maintaining-educational-provision

If your child is in KS1 and/or are entitled to Free School Meals a meal will be provided, all other children
will have to bring in a packed lunch.

Parents who are key workers and want their child/ren to attend during this period will have to register
their child/ren via our school survey . You will be asked to provide evidence of the
job you do e.g. ID badge, letter from their employer or payslip.

Vulnerable Children

Vulnerable children include children who are supported by social care, those with safeguarding and welfare needs, including child in need plans, on child protection plans, looked after children, young carers, disabled children and those with education health and care (EHC) plans.  We have contacted these families directly by text. Please contact the School Office on 020 8997 0619 if you have not received a text.

Thank you again for your continued support, and we will be in touch with more information when we can.
